What Are The Best Wheels For Chevy Silverado Truck?
If you own a Chevy Silverado Truck and would like to improve its appearance dramatically; the best way of doing it it’s by changing the wheels. It’s amazing how the wheels and tires change the overall looks of your truck to beautiful or too ugly. I am 100% positive that if you are reading this article your intention is to upscale the overall looks of your truck for the better.
I know, and you know, that today’s trend is truck off-roading style. However, if you are a city pickup truck driver like me a street looking wheel style is the way to. Yes, babe, street looking chrome or black machined, or custom painted wheels are the way to go!!!
I will list below couple sizes and wheel styles that I think will look amazingly good on your Chevy Silverado 1500 Truck.
First, I’d like to start recommending the wheel size. Yeah, I know, 26s and 28s look badass and It will drive lots of attention when driving by on some nice 28 inch wheels sparking and shining chrome but, I would not do that 26 inch wheels or 28-inch application to my truck.
Here is what I know, and forget about the looks:
Just tires alone will cost you big money for the long run. In the event of an emergency on the road and you need tires, it won’t be easy to find a tire shop around the corner with 28-inch (305s, 295s or 285s ) waiting for you. Lots of tire shops do not even have the proper mounting machines to mount a high-end 28-inch wheel size in their shops.
YOUR DRIVING EXPERIENCE:
You are going to have a drastically driving experience when driving on 28-inch wheels in comparison to a much smaller wheel size (stock size). Please, if you use your truck on day-to-day driving, I would not recommend going over 24-inch wheel application on your truck. But, the truck is yours and you have to decide that on your own.
24 inch wheel is really a good size considering the good driving experience that you don’t want to lose and the overall good looking appearance that you want to achieve by improving the wheels. The reason why we say for sure you’ll be 100% satisfied with your 24-inch rims on your truck is because the overall diameter of the tire size you will need for a 24-inch wheel is within the Silverado’s factory specs. 295/35-R24 will give you 4.1" of tire sidewall, enough to ride in comfort and style.
MRR T228 22 inch wheel - Custom Bronze FinishYou don’t have to be a genius to understand that if the manufacturer of your truck is telling you and guaranteeing you a 32.1” of fender well room for your wheel and tires, you are good to go for it. Yes, as long you stay within the 32” of tire overall diameter yourtires will clear from rubbing.
